Ramblings...

Hey Everyone! I finally have a day off, so I thought I had better get busy and make a blog post!

I am sure summer is almost here! The temps have been inching higher and higher each day and tomorrow it is supposed to be 90! Can we say WOOT??? I love warm days and cool nights, and they are now upon us. We can all be thankful for this beautiful weather.

My dad has now been transferred to a "transitional floor" that is attached to our local VA medical center. It is a unit for those who are transitioning home or to a nursing home. He is on hospice, and completely unable to walk. He is in a wheelchair and is accepting it. My sisters and I are hoping that he can stay there until the end. We are not sure how fast moving his cancer is, but he isnt in pain right now and I am thankful for that.

Breanna is now on summer vacation. Working as much as possible because she has a big trip planned in July with friends to an anime convention in California, so I predict June will be a big working month for her.

Work is dramatic as always, people leaving, people coming and I am trying to stay out of the drama. I do not want to get involved simply because I dont want the hassles that I have had in other hospitals. Wish me luck! LOL

My blogging goal is to be blogging on my days off. Lets see how it works! LOL

I want to leave you all with a question, that I have really thought about and the subject matter really pisses me off. Here is the question... WHY are the people who ride the scooters at Walmart always hugely fat??? Shouldnt they be walking to get some exercise? I think they make all overweight people look like slobs.

See you all on tuesday!

Glad your Dad is getting help. It must be hard to see him like that but he is getting good care which is what he needs.

It was over 100 degrees here today. I would have liked it to stay in the 90's a bit longer. The 100s should stay in June in my opinion.

That always pisses me off too that the huge people use the electronic wheelchairs. I want to say to them, get up! If you walked you wouldn't need that! Then it makes me feel bad to see little elderly people tottering along because there are no electric carts for them.

I wanted to ask, as someone in the medial field, do you watch medical dramas? This is a discussion I have been having with my husband.

Keeping your dad in my prayers. It's so hard...

Hey, depending on the severity of my CFS and fibro, I occasionally do the electric at Wal-Mart. 'nough said.

And yes, I LOVE medical dramas!

Your Dad being taken care of must be a little relief off your shoulders. It's such a hard thing to deal with.

I watched TLC for 4 hours last night about gastro surgery. One man weighed 1048 lbs. I enjoyed watching them cutting the fat off. I'm sick!

Hospital & drama is a marriage with no divorce. RUN from it LOL :)

Tell Bre I said hello and glad to hear she's doing great :)

Happy to hear about your Dad and that Bre has a fun vacation planned.

I don't love Anime but I'd gladly tag along with her!!

Awesome post!! I've been a huge slacker, as well. We've been so busy at work, and my time away, been trying to get outside. The weather here has not been great, if we get a warm day, the wind is horrific!! We still have freezing temps at night....crazy. I have yet to plant any flowers outside and its killing me!!!!
Sorry to hear about your Dad, but happy hes recieving good care. Thats such a battle with parents. My father has MS, and theres going to be a day when my mother can no longer care for him.....worst nightmare, can't think about it!!
Alex has a couple days of school left, then he's on summer break!! We have a busy week ahead, my nephews graduating, my whole family is going to be together (ugh), State Track meet, the list continues......
Have a great week!!
