Saying Goodbye

Today, after much consideration and tears, Dana and I decided that it was time to let our Reggie go to the bridge. He has been struggling with an aggression disorder, which is probably caused by a brain lesion, for the last 2 months. Our vet and out trainer agreed with our decision, and even though it was the hardest thing we have ever done, we let him go.

Goodbye little lugnut, we are so sorry you had to go through this turmoil and terror. We will love you forever, and remember you as the happy, silly, barking boy you once were.

Fly with the angels at the bridge, where you will suffer no more. Please tell your brother Harley that we miss him and love him and one day we will all be together again to cross the Rainbow bridge.

My heart is heavy tonight, but I know we did the right thing. :-(

Saying goodbye is never easy.
Tell the funny stories of your dear Reggie and laugh at all the wonderful memories he left with you before the torment began, poor soul.
Sending you hugs,
Lea

Hugs coming your way Tonjia, I am sure it was all for the best. You will definately see him again. Just know that he is tormented no longer and is free to run and frolick with Harly.

Sending you big hugs Tonjia...I've been that route before and know how hard it is. Reggie is having a better time of it now because you've set him free!

I'm so sorry - I grieve with you....losing a pet is so very hard.

We had to put our beloved 2 year old dachshund, Nomar, down about 1 year ago as he developed an aggressive form of kidney failure. We watched him fail befoer our eyes - we cried and cried but finally made the decision that no pet owner wants to make. These little guys can live to be 21 so losing him at 2 was awful.

We still miss him every day and love him more today than we thought possible. He would have loved your little doxie guy.

My heart is heavy for you...

No words can help. Dusty and I KNOW this. Reggie will wait with Trapper, Jasmine and Harley.

Oh Tonjia, I am so so sorry! I was just wondering how Reggie was doing and then to find this out, I am just heartbroken for you.

I know it wasn't an easy decision, but Reggie is free and happy now.

I will be thinking of you all and praying for you. Sending hugs.
