Well, we did it. We spent most of the daylight hours on Wednesday driving to Salt Lake City to check out some of the basset hounds that were available for adoption through the basset rescue there.
We came home with Max. He is 4 yrs old and absolutely adorable. A bit fluffy (arent we all) but very easy to get along with and very eager to please. Frankie wasnt the least bit frightened of him when we got home, and they have struck up a friendship that hopefully will only get stronger. We are hoping that Max will help Frankie remember that he needs to go potty outside and not inside and that he shouldnt beg for food when the people are eating at the table. LOL
Max got a bit of a hamburger patty on the road, and it was lip smacking good! Then when we got home he explored the house while Frankie kept watch.
Breanna went with us, she is sure Max has chosen her as his favorite 2 legger and she might be right!
We are now the loving owners of a basset again, our houndie family is complete. :-)

Awwwww Max is too cute. Glad your family is not complete.
I hope she meant to say "is now complete" LOL.
What a cutie. Enjoy your furry family.
I am in love with Max! Give him a big welcome hug from me! Can't wait to see lots and lots of pics!

It is so obvious that I cannot start a blog until I get a dog! Max is adorable!
I still can't get over the fact you have the same linoleum and kitchen chairs as in my Mom's house where my brother now lives. I re-did her kitchen awhile back.
:-) love to look at it!
Of course, he only lives 7 miles away lol.
Max is a cutie, a nice addition to your family. And look how big Frankie is now!
