I just bought another "as seen on TV" item. OMG I love those things! And I got to go and peruse some of the items on the "as seen on TV shelves" at Walgreens. I love that Walgreens carries this stuff!
My new purchase is a "pasta-n-more" pasta cooker. I have had my eye on them since before Christmas and I guess today was the day to give it a try!
It slices! it dices! it... no wait, thats another seen on TV item. This little jewel will cook pasta al dente in the MICROWAVE! And it works like a charm! I highly recommend it. I also looked at the Debbie Meyer bread bags, I love the green bags so much that I might have to try out those bread bags.
Every time I look through the ASOTV loot, I find something else that I love.
And here are some random thoughts that have been floating around in my head:
**If Michael Phelps wants to smoke weed, for the love of Pete, let him!! Why does the media have to butt into all of these celebrities lives?
** If Rod Blagojevich is such a political dud why is he appearing on practically every daytime TV talk show?
** How on earth did Kaiser Permanente approve IN FREAKING VITRO fertilization of 8 babies on a woman who is UNEMPLOYED and who has 6 living children already??? When I was living in California Kaiser was the biggest anal retentive medical facility on earth. They wouldnt pre-approve any elective medical procedure. And This woman AND her parents all filed bankruptcy in 2008, how is she supporting these children? By the way, she has hired a manager and a publicist.....
Before I leave I want to thank you all for your comments on my post yesterday, I have to learn to accept myself for what I am and stay healthy, that is my goal for 2009!

Just wanted to let you know that the woman (we've been calling her octomom) didn't go to kaiser until she was 12 weeks pregnant, so they didn't handle the fertalization. No one quite knows who did this.
And she's been on Worker's Comp since september of 1999 to the tune of $205,000 and still collecting...and that's the state worker's comp, not private, because she was a state employee. Basically, the California citizens are footing the bill. Lucky you to get out!
Because the hospital gets UBER amounts of free publicity.
It's the American way.

Lots of good thoughts there. I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around this woman having all these kids. I wonder if DHS should step in and take custody of them for she has to be crazy!!! Mentally ill, or just plain sick. Those poor kids!
I have to kind of agree with you on Michael Phelps too. I do not support or promote smoking pot. He should not have done it, but either arrest him for possession, (oh wait, they can't, misdemeanor not committed in their pressense.) but get it out of the media. Good grief!

That Michael Phelps thing. All I have to say is, I really think he should step away from the bong because he wasn't the world's smartest boy to start with, and weed doesn't help at all. Great swimmer, yes; smart, not so much. So leave him out of the media.
Good pasta from the microwave? Mmmm...gotta get one of those! :)
That Rod Blagojevich? If you put a headful of slightly unruly red hair on him, I think he would look like Mad Magazine cover boy Alfred E. Newman's brother. Chicago and their politicians...GAH!
And that woman with the kids? Oh, Tara, don't even get me going. Seriously, I could talk about this one for days. Whoever did it should pay. I suppose she wants to get on the gravy train to get free stuff like other parents of litters. I don't think it's going to work for her, though. I feel sorry for all those kids!

That woman makes me sick. She had 14 children because she just "likes children." She is divorced, unemplyed and probably unbalanced. How is she going to support them. I hope she doesn't get a dime from anyone but that will probably not be the case. I feel bad for the kids and I hope they bring charges against the doctor that allowed her to have 6 embreyos (two split into twins) implanted.
Oh and the thing with Michael Phelps, who hasn't tried it? I want to know what jerk-off took a picture of it and is now profiting from it.
