I am joining many of my blogger friends by participating in NaBloPoMo . Check out the website, we are committing to posting a blog post every day this month, in celebration of National Blog Posting Month.
We are visiting my parents for Thanksgiving. It looks like I will have to secure an internet connection. They live in BFE (who else knows what that means) Oklahoma, not that all of Oklahoma is BFE but the area where they are on Oologah lake is...
And now on to newsier news. Have you all voted yet? I voted early, which I must say is totally awesome, except for one thing. We have to wait until tomorrow night to hear if our votes counted or not. Kind of an anti-climax if you know what I mean.
Once I get tomorrow and Wednesday over, I promise to make some more interesting blog posts. Maybe I will even find my brain.
I want to leave you with a wiener pic to make you smile. Here it is:

I am waiting to vote tomorrow. We vote at a little school and I really wanted to wait and see what it is like. I remember as a child at my school they voted there too. People would come and go all day long, it just brings back memories. As an adult I voted at nearly every single election. I can't remember missing too many. We voted at a church very near our home and I loved going to talk with the ladies there They were older and so sweet. Tomorrow will be stressful. There are going to be a lot of happy people, and a lot of unhappy people, I just hope and pray that the new leader will be safe, and smart, and supported... by all. Maybe we can get together during your time here in OKLA!?
I know what BFE means;)
my VOTE DOES NOT COUNT....i voted early, i voted often, i am from a state with hardly any electorial votes and i voted against all or most all of the people in my state...so my vote is usless
I'm voting tomorrow and do hope that everyone takes advantage of this freedom and responsibility.
I'm off to check out nablopomo!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
I voted early as with Kiereney one never knows when they will be back at the hospital. She gets to vote in her first presidential election tomorrow and I am so excited for her.
Do your parents live near Ft. Sill, OK?
Night shift is my favorite shift at the hospital for lots of reasons but mainly because the white collars who think they know everything and get in your way only to find out they know nothing are home sleeping. It's a special bonding on the night shift. You see things on that shift you would never see on a day or evening shift. If/when I go back to work, it will definitely be on midnights.
I'm doing NaBloPoMo too....crazy huh?
Love the weiners!
BFE Oklahoma comprises all of Oklahoma except for the metropolitan areas of Oklahoma City and Tulsa - and the suburbs immediately surrounding the metropolitan areas.
Hah - that's my own description.
Yes, Oologah is BFE and I do know where it is! I once knew a girl who grew up there - Marilyn Manning - used to work with her. She was 8 or 10 years older than me, so that would put her at 49 or 51 now. Perhaps you know her?
