The Princess (me) and the Pea

We need a new mattress on our bed. The one we have now kills my back. After tossing and turning and tossing and turning last night (well really about 2:00am this morning) I came to the conclusion....SOMETHING has to be done about this mattress!

I dont really want to pay the $400 to buy a new mattress right now, especially since we just bought my new Escape and paid $1200 for maintenance fees on our time share on the Maryland shore. (We had to pay $400 for "mold removal" after hurricane Isabel. Must have been a hell of a lot of mold!!!!) anyway, I wanted to go about this the least expensive way possible. So I went shopping. Online shopping.. and this is what I found:

Thank you Bed Bath and Beyond!!!!!

The description for this topper o' luxury is as follows:

"This fiberbed features DuPont™ Teflon® fabric protector and puresleep® anti-microbial protected fabric fill. The down alternative cluster fiber top layer provides the ultimate in comfort and softness, and the resilient polyester bottom layer gives excellent support. 100% superior Egyptian cotton cover, 400 thread count. 100% down alternative cluster fiber fill. Twin 38" W x 75" L; Full 53" W x 75" L; Queen 60" W x 80" L; King 78" W x 80" L; California King 72" W x 84" L. Machine wash. Made in the U.S.A. 8-year warranty."

Now this might not sound like much to you guys but it sounds like pure ectasy to me! I will let you know if I sleep without the usual backache tonight, and free of pressure points!

When we put this on our bed it was so puffy that Frankie had to jump to get from point A to point B....WAHOO!! I am going to feel like the Princess and the Pea!

Looks pretty thick too and oh so soft! My mattress is like a rock. It will have to be put on the back burner too! I hope you sleep better on this and let us know!

Let me know how it works for you. We need a new bed too, badly! We are starting to meet in the middle of ours. I have a memory foam topper on our bed but it is getting old and losing it's memory.

We had one of those and loved it. In fact, I still have it because that bed is now the guest bed. We finally got one of those Temperpedic beds back in 2005 and love it. I have also slept on a Sleep Number bed before. That was pretty cool. You have to get the more expensive one or the pump is too loud for sleeping though. How is it working for you?
