Daylight savings time? Already? It snowed here today, its WINTER for crying out loud, what part of WINTER signifies that its time to turn our clocks ahead?
I thought we just turned them back a couple of months ago. Wait.... we did!
Is it just me or is regular standard time getting shorter and shorter? Who remembers why we originally started screwing with our clocks? I do, It was a meager attempt of our governments to try and save energy. You guys who are older than 45 remember, speed limits went down, we had "gas shortages" and we started screwing with our clocks.
When it originated, if memory serves me correctly, we turned our clocks back the last week of October and we turned the clocks forward the end of April. OK, we dealt with it, May was closely approaching and the kids didnt have to stand out in the dark at the bus stop in the freaking middle of winter freezing their asses off just to "conserve energy".
OK, so dont forget to turn your clocks ahead tonight. Did I mention that I have to get up at 5:30am tomorrow (which was 4:30am last week grrrrr) to go to work?

I am right there with you. I remember when we turned the clocks in Oct and April as well. They are really stretching it out longer and longer and I don't like it. My brother said just yesterday he loves daylight savings time...I never have. It is just something my body does not seem to adjust well to. Now that I am retired it doesn't matter as much, but still I am not crazy about it. It will really suck for you tomorrow. And I am sorry about your snow....send it to us, in the form of rain, we are too dry here!
Ugh, yes. Monday morning will dawn earlier. Sigh. I do love this time of clock "forwarding". I do okay with it. It's the "fall back" that gets me. Dark all the time.
No matter what time...I always want to take a nap LOL!
I remember the change...I thought the world would end. I had just learned how to cover my head in the hall at school during a nuclear attack and then they play God with the time.
I still don't quite understand why the times got moved up and back these past few years. It had something to do with something. Forming maybe? All I know is whether springing ahead or falling back this screws up my sleep schedule for at least a week.
