That would be me! I have to serve on Jury duty tomorrow. Can you believe it? All 3 of us have been summonsed, and Dana and Breanna BOTH were canceled. But not me, just my luck.
So, tomorrow I have to go and sit and wait to see if I am called. Did I mention that my number is the LAST one in the sequence??? Did I mention that my luck sucks?
On one hand I hope I get called to a really juicy murder case, and on the other hand I hope I get dismissed. Something inside of me tells me that the lawyers really wont be keen on putting an ER nurse, who is a forensic examiner with 12 yrs experience dealing with law enforcement on a jury.
What do you think? Knowing my dandy luck I will probably be chosen to sit on a jury in a civil case where someone is suing their landscaper because their lawn has unwanted puddles or something.....

Oh, Tara, I DO NOT FREAKIN' BELIEVE IT! All THREE of you? What are the chances of that? And then to add insult to injury, the other two get out of it. I feel bad for ya, but still...BWAHAHAHA!
The one time I was on a jury, it was one of those civil cases...rather boring, but it was fun to be downtown at the beginning of the holiday season! One lady juror went Christmas shopping on lunch break and got back to court LATE! They had to wait for her, and the judge ended up fining her the amount she spent on shopping...which was a pretty good chunk of change!

Several years ago, I served on a case where a student was injured at a Private School...it was an interesting case and I am glad I had the experience. Years ago, I was summoned for a murder case, however my ex was a detective and I knew most of the police officers, I was excused.
