Colorado is being hit hard by a huge winter storm. Snow, blowing snow, ice packed roads, I-70 closed at Vail Pass, Denver is calling out the National Guard.
BUT...... here in the banana belt, our weather is just a tad unseasonably cool. Only in the high 30's today. Our roads are dry, we have a light dusting of snow from the storm over night, maybe 1/2" if that much and tomorrow we are going to have beautiful SUNSHINE!
Welcome to western Colorado, Gods playground!
Thanks for the call today Lisa, I wish I had been up on the slopes, our local ski area has received 20 inches of fresh powder in the last 2 days.....
But, I had to sit NINE AND A HALF HOURS in a freaking mandatory "skills day" at work. It was long, it was boring, and it was my day off.
The things we have to do to keep the hospital doors open..

Why, Tara! I'd love to say "you're welcome" for the phone call from the slopes, but I didn't call you. Wait! Were you talking to the REAL Lisa? BWAHAHAHAHA!
Work meetings of ANY and ALL kinds suck. I always think it is ironic that the people who put on those little shindigs sit in their offices and think up ways for the people in the trenches to do their jobs better. Ummm...yeah.
Since you had to sit through that on your day off, you deserve to NOT be in the blizzard! :)
You must be on the other side of the mountains. We got a foot of snow in our area. It looks pretty but the dogs don't like it.
Have a great weekend and stay warm and dry.
Susan
Tara, I'm so glad you don't have to deal with that mess!
Love,
Another Lisa
BWHAAAAA!
Well you are welcome for the call, just wanted to check in on you. Isn't it funny how we start paying attention to things we didn't before, just because we know someone "there", in "that" state?! But I did want you to know I was thinking of you and "I" was wishing that I was there on the slopes!!! We are suppose to get some of your white stuff, we will see. I will take it, we need the moisture. Hope you have a good weekend!
I am so glad I don't live in a place where it snows at the end of March any more. :)
