Breanna made the concert choir!! Today was open try-outs, she said there were about 80 students there. The choir director was very impressed with her voice, she ran the scale from tenor to 1st soprano. She made Soprano.
He also asked her if she has had professional voice lessons, she has not. She sang in choir from grades 6 through 12, but had no professional lessons. He is encouraging her to take private lessons next semester. Maybe she can get in some solos!
Her day was awesome again, she is love love loving college life and being with other students her age. She is sporting a huge smile too. YAY!
Her job is good, she is working about 30-35 hours per week and soon she will be shopping for her 1st car. Shuttling our 2 back and forth is a little challenging but not a problem, so once she figures out how much she will bring home each month while in school, she can decide on how much she can pay on a car payment.
SO! tomorrow is another day! thank you God!

Congratulations Breanna!!!! I am so happy for you. My son did chorus through high school and I only wish he would have had the time to do it at college. He said some of the best friends he made and life experiences enjoyed were through being in chorus.
Carpe Diem Breanna!
And hugs to you, too, Mom, as what makes our kids happy makes us happy!
YAY BREANNA!!! Making chorus is AWESOME!!! From a person who makes dogs howl when she sings, I have deep admiration for anyone with a beautiful singing voice.
Tonjia, I am just so happy for your girl. Also really impressed on the 30-35 hrs/week job; man, that is a lot she's taken on. What a gal, huh? Can't wait to hear about the car she ends up getting. Awww, such fun stuff!
More great news! Yay!
Thats great that she made the chior. Sounds like she really is enjoy college. Hope she will get her car soon as well.
Another day of great news. Sounds like she has found her path. Sending hugs and smiles to you both.
God is Good!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Oh that is so good. Everyone needs their self esteem boosted and I bet that was a big boost for her. Congratulations. Good luck on the car hunting....one of my least favorite things to do!
The daughter is for sale(mine!) in response to your comment on my blog. Had to send her money, didn't have a pen to write the confirmation number on so had me text it to her. Calls me and says she left her phone in the motel room and can I give her the number again cause she's at the place to pick up the money! Duh! I'm going to Velcro everything that is important to her! I swear if she had been the first, she'd have been the only! lol
Ah, settling in to her new life very well!
YAY for Breanna, she is just doing so well isn't she. I am so glad, she had such a tough time last year.
How wonderful! I miss singing so much. I wish I could be a part of a group but they all meet nights and that is when I work. Oh the trials of having the night shift!
