4 more weeks....

We are nearing the end. Only 4 more weeks of mud slinging, mimicking, overbearing commercials for the presidential campaign.

I wish they would stop. I have heard more slam commercials than I want to hear. The way I see it, if americans who are registered to vote do not have their candidate chosen by now, these ridiculous commercials will not really have an effect on who they choose.

This is getting old really fast.

Do you all feel the same way? I think most Americans are almost to the end of their rope...

Oh yeah. This American definitely feels that way. In fact, the Senate race here in MN has become especially egregious and disgusting. One candidate has trotted out a little cancer kid, and the other has his alcoholic wife saying he's a good guy because he stuck by her. OY!

Why is it they ALL have to do the same thing. Why can't just ONE candidate take the high road and NOT do a smear campaign. Really, I think that would be the one who would have my vote! Guess it's just not the way things are done in politics and business. Which is why I'll never be involved in either :).

I will be SOOOO incredibly happy for it all to be over!

I'm ready for it to be over too. But sadly, about 1/3 of Americans call themselves as "independent". They are the ones who are trying to make up their minds right now. I think the candidates are as different as night and day. But "independents" don't see things so clear cut, and they can take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to make up their durn minds. They are champion procrastinators. Those are the very people that ultimately determine the outcome of elections, and they don't make up their minds until almost the last minute (i.e.,as they are walking into the voting booth). Exasperating, but true!

Kim, we have a similar senate race here too. one of the candidates is labeled "THE BOULDER LIBERAL" by the other, like being from Boulder is some kind of disease.....

Donna, I am thinking that the voters who might make the most difference are the new voters. Ages 18-21, who have never voted in a presidential election before. It will be interesting.

Yes I want it to be over-but not sure I will like either end result come election night result time.
I am ONE of those independents I guess-I have never voted party nor will I ever. I also hate the smear campaigns and chose to look at voting records and the person I feel will take a stance in the areas that really topuch my life.
I have never been "into" politics-until this election-mostly because my husband and his parents are all or nothing Republicans-my husband has such a closed mind sometimes he infuriates me-I told him that just because his grandpa voted that way 50 years ago doesn't mean he is being disloyal, he is just forming his own opinions-so for peace in my house-YES please let it be over!
Oh funny thing about the whole Rep. thing is when since he was wounded-the one elected official who has helped us out and sttod by us is a KS. Representative who is a democrat.
And no I haven't decided for sure-but I will vote!
Sorry to go on...

I hate smear campaigns.

Just tell me what you stand for and how you're going to fix us and our country.

Because you just make me mad when you start slinging the mud at each other. I lose respect for you. Like I'm not smart enough to know all the dirt on you.

I will vote, by golly, because if you don't vote, you can't gripe about the outcome.

I feel better now...thanks for posting this.

I'm tired of it all, I think we are in real trouble either way it goes, I fear America is about to truly lose status in this world, and I am glad I don't have that much longer on this earth to put up with all of it!!! The good ole days are lookin' pretty good right now!
