Meet Bob, the talking dachshund. He talks just like Frankie. All this time, I wasnt sure if Frankie was gifted as a talker or if it is just another doxie trait. I think Bob has answered my questions. Of course, Frankie does not know french, just english...
Many times during the day, Frankie will sit on my foot stool or on the futon and look at me with that inquisitive look on his face and he will bark. And look at me, and bark again, like he is trying to tell me something special. He usually wants me to feed him, but once or twice he has told me that his brother Max has either escaped the yard or has crawled under the house next door. Frankie is just like Lassie!
For those of you who have doxies, do your dogs do the same thing?

I don't think I've ever seen a french dachshund. I am in love.
Awww, I think I love LeBob, too. He's so cute, and he certainly gets an "A" for his efforts to communicate. My feline Frankie "talks" to me, too; Nancy actually yells, and does not give up until she gets whatever it is she is yelling about. It's funny and irritating all at the same time. And it always works. :)

Was there supposed to be a video there cause it did not come up for me. :( But I can imagine how cute it was. Our cats talk to us, especially Portia who will answer questions with very different and distinct meows. I swear she understands us and responds in her own way.
