OK our stores are already decorating for Christmas and starting to stock items to sell for Christmas. WHAT is going on? It isnt even Halloween yet! Our temperatures are still in the low 80's and high 70's. This is Colorado for crying out loud! Winter has NOT arrived.
Is it this way every where? I remember when we lived in PA they would start selling artificial Christmas trees in October and then in January they would get out the swim suits.
This is wrong, very wrong.
Lets enjoy Halloween first and then maybe Thanksgiving before we hop right into Christmas. Who is with me?
How many of you guys out there are avid Black Friday shoppers??? I cant even drag myself to do that!
Hey at least I am not saying Bah Humbug yet! LOLOL
see ya tomorrow

I know its crazy to already have all the Christmas stuff out. They make this so beefed up now.
I love black friday but not to shop. I just like to go to the mall and watch all the crazy people as the cheesy xmas music plays! FUN!!

I do like to shop the Friday after Thanksgiving. Sometimes I would send my husband one place and I would go to another . I would give him the add, tell him to get this specific item. We had fun. I usually only do it when I know someone wants a certain item for Chrsitmas and it is a big ticket item. I love saving money. And I also love love love the day after Christmas. Big deals to me. I remember spending those days with my mom and that was important to me. What I HATE is when stores are open on Thanksgiving. I HATE HATE HATE that.
tonjia...I LOVE your post! In MD, I have seen Christmas decorations since the first of October! It is crazy, but I guess it is all about money:( Remember the good old days, when Santa riding in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade marked the beginning of the season?
Black Friday!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh! My daughters and I have been shopping on Black Fridays since they were teens! Now,they are both married and it is still a tradition we hold on to. This year we will hit the outlets at midnite in our jammies! We have waited outside as the lines wrapped around the store. We have had "in demand" items *stolen* from our cart. When my oldest was pregnant with her oldest (she was not drinking coffee) she was extremely cranky. She bought her husband a turntable record player, my youngest daughter and I told her to wait while we got the car...she began to cry, telling us she knew we would not come back for her...she was right. Now my youngest daughter is pregnant-due in January...hmmmmm will she get a ride home or take the bus ;)
(please know I would not leave a pregnant daughter anywhere!)

Ah the Lowe's here had their Christmas stuff up on September 20th. Summer was not even officially over yet. They said they wanted to get a start on the seaosn because they fear people will spend less this year due to the economy. Pretty soon it will be the season year round.
This is why most of us are just plum crazy. Don't know if we're coming or going. Geez. I am in total agreement with you and just wish they would stop this nonsense!
Happy Easter!
I hate this new trend! I wish they'd wait until after Thanksgiving like in the good ol' days.
It's sad that they push the holiday's on everyone! Our stores are also decked out for Christmas already and Hallowen is being discounted!!!! I love the Black Friday shopping!!! I've done my fair share of the pushing/shoving/being knocked around, running like a madwomen for a hot toy item! lol Lots of fun! Can't wait till this year! lol
