This just happens to be one of those days when random thoughts are fighting to get out of my head. So here goes...
For starters, House Peters Jr, who posed as the original "Mr Clean", passed away yesterday in Los Angeles, he was 92. This is a piece of trivia to store in your head for future use.. Rest in Peace Mr Peters.
Now on to the car buying story. Breanna met us at the dealer on Tuesday and test drove the Kia, she was not comfortable driving it because it was pretty small and kind of light weight. So, we went back to the lot and found a car that she liked, she test drove it and liked it so thats what she bought. It is a hunter green metallic 1996 Lexus CE 300. A beautiful car, in her price range, with more miles than the Kia but it felt much more solid and had more power. It is equipped with leather upholstery, sun roof, 8 cd changer and many other extras so she is happy.
I will try to get a picture of it next week when I get a day off. The great thing is, she has a car that she likes, I have my Escape back and we are all able to be at work at the same time without shuttling cars. woo hoo!
Breanna is doing well in college, she loves most of her classes and the one class that she thought was going to be one of the easiest is actually one of the hardest. Music appreciation is providing to be a challenge. I think its a challenge to stay awake, and to stay interested and to stay focused on such an interesting (?) topic! She is attending a liberal arts college and everyone has to take an "appreciation" class for graduation. This is the one she ended up in.
Tonight I have to go back to work, (my week is usually ruined at this point. LOL) so I will miss the Vice Presidential debate. HAVE NO FEAR! I have TIVO!!!!! WOOT! I love our Tivo, it has made my life so much simpler and I dont have to miss my favorite shows (Army Wives, Biggest Loser, Bones, Californication, and Weeds) and I also get to watch the political debates. I wont go into detail about who I am watching during this debate but she can see Russia from her house!LOLOLOL I seriously doubt that this debate will provide any fireworks or humor, at least if the scriptwriters have done their job!
We thought we had fall here in Colorado a few weeks ago, but its back in the high 80's again with promises of cooler weather on the horizon, ok its October, can we turn the AC off soon? And as I am writing this, the weather guy just came on to announce measurable snowfall in the high country! So maybe we are headed for fall after all!
One more random thought, welcome back to the blogging world, VP! :-)

~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
I remember those old Mr. Clean commercials when I was a kid! LOL. Congrats to your daughter for getting a car that she likes. Zoooooom!
I'm looking forward to the debates too. I will be watching the guy who does all the gaffes, LOL. I have confidence that my gal candidate will do just fine.
So sad about Mr. Clean, isn't it?
Yay for the new wheels!
Hi Tanjia
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the comment.Looking forward to reading more of yours.
Congrats on getting the car buying over with.I like shopping for cars.It is the actual buying part I don't like.
Did you say Lexus? I must go back and re-read. Yep, you did. Well damn Bre! Going to school in style!
Congratulations!
No TiVo here, but a TV/VCR combo, yes I still have tapes. As Jack Cafferty said on CNN..I would call through barbed wire naked to get to a TV to see the debate. You betcha!
I have so much to say about Sarah on my blog, but once I start I may not be able to stop. I'll just say the word. Substance?
Uh, Bre went from simply wanting a car that was blue to getting a LEXUS? Where can I get a deal like that? :)
